PassionRoses Appointed the Official Rose of 2019 Miss America Competition for 9th Year

MIAMI, FL (September 6, 2018) – For the ninth year in a row, the Miss America Organization has again looked to PassionRoses to provide the stunning roses for the newly crowned Miss America and top finalists. The tradition continues of proudly naming PassionRoses as the Official Rose of the 2019 Miss America Competition.

The 2019 Miss America Competition, airs Sunday, September 9, 2018, live on ABC from Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and features the finalists each receiving long stem PassionRoses bouquets, with the newly crowned Miss America being given a bouquet of 3 dozen long stem PassionRoses.

PassionRoses Continues Partnership As Official Rose of the 72nd Annual Tony Awards

MIAMI, FL (June 11, 2018) – The aura and allure of roses gifted on stage after a performance has transcended to the red-carpet walk.  Honoring the tradition of presenting roses in celebration of outstanding Broadway theatrical performances, PassionRoses has been selected as the Official Rose of the 72ndAnnual Tony Awards, for the third year in a row. 

The Tony Awards, hosted by Josh Grobanand Sara Bareilles, aired on the CBS Television Network on Sunday, June 10, 2018 live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City. A stunning rose wall, built by Raúl Àvila Inc. andcomprised of 40,000 hand-picked pink and red PassionRoses grown in the fields of Colombia, aligned the red carpet walk as theatre luminaries entered Radio City Music Hall. 

Also from Bogotá, Colombia was celebrity event designer Raúl Àvila whose team designed and constructed the magnificent PassionRoses rose wall.

MIAMI, FL (September 11, 2017) – For the eighth year in a row, the Miss America Organization again turned to PassionRoses to provide the perfect red roses for the newly crowned Miss America Cara Mund, and her court.   PassionRoses is proud to partner with the Miss America Organization and to have again been chosen to be the Official Rose for the 2018 Miss America Competition.

The finale, hosted by Chris Harrison and Sage Steele, featured the finalists each receiving a long stem bouquet, and the newly crowned Miss America a bouquet of 3 dozen long stem roses. The 2018 Miss America Competition was broadcast live from the Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall on Sunday, September 10, 2017 on ABC.

Each of the special long stem pageant bouquets were made with red PassionRoses grown in the savannah of Bogotá, Colombia and hand-picked specifically for Miss America.  The roses were featured prominently during the 2018 Miss America Competition by the newly appointed Miss America 2018 and her Court of Honor, both on-air during the crowning ceremony as well as at the off-air press conference. PassionRoses were additionally included in the rose adorned scepter held by Cara Mund, and showcased in the Miss America press room, dinner events, judges’ hospitality and interview rooms, and other events leading up to the event finale.

The partnership will continue with Cara Mund, the newly crowned Miss America, making an event appearance on PassionRoses’ behalf at the Produce Marketing Association in New Orleans in October 2017.

The 29th Miss University of Central Florida Wears the Crown and Carries the Passion [Growers]

On Saturday, November 19, the University of Central Florida, located in Orlando, crowned their 29th Miss University of Central Florida. A university rich in pageant history and affiliated with the Miss Florida Scholarship Pageant and Miss America Organization, a crowd of over 1,000 watched both in person and online through the local Student Government Association. Alexa Schmidt a senior from Jacksonville, Florida was named the winner from among 20 contestants vying for the title. Alexa joins Mr. UCF, Zachary Cabrera from Lakeland, Florida who was named Mr. UCF the night before on Friday, November 18. These two students will spend the upcoming year making appearances both on campus and in the community supporting organizations such as IHOP National Pancake Day to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network, Relay for Life, American Cancer Society, UCF KnightWalk for the March of Dimes, Knight-Thon benefitting the Children’s Miracle Network. Veronica Livesay, Pageant Executive Director, said, “Partnering with Passion Growers was a fabulous opportunity for our university to showcase the beautiful roses from Passion Growers, and provide beautiful arm bouquets for all our winners”. “We look forward to a continued partnership between Passion Growers and the Miss University of Central Florida Scholarship Pageant”.
