Passion Growers Teams up with the LIVESTRONG® Challenge in Austin

On October 15, 2011, Lance Armstrong, cancer survivor, cycling champion and LIVESTRONG® founder and chairman, celebrated 15 years of cancer survivorship by joining 4,300 fellow survivors, advocates and supporters who participated in the Team LIVESTRONG Challenge in Austin. The two-day event included a 5k walk/run through the heart of downtown Austin on Sat., Oct. 15 and a multi-distance bike ride, including 20-, 45-, 65- and 90-mile options, through the Texas hill country on Sun., Oct. 16 to raise awareness and funds for people affected by cancer. This year, the Team LIVESTRONG Challenge Austin participants have collectively raised more than $2.3 million.

Passion Growers provided more than 1600 stems of roses to this year’s LIVESTRONG Challenge Austin, a milestone event for Lance Armstrong and his organization. We are proud to participate by offering our beautiful, colorful and cheerful roses to the event to help create a positive and encouraging environment. We are also honored to be among the many cancer survivors, advocates and supporters who truly “live strong” each day. Passion Growers salutes you!
